After graduation, Royce briefly attended GVSU. Unsuccessful in this attempt, he worked in the restaurant industry, for nearly 13 years, where he rose through the ranks to general manager of several concepts. He is now currently enjoying a career in financial services.

He remained in the Catholic church for a few years but eventually they joined Calvary Church where their family grew spiritually and physically. They have five (now grown) children, three of whom were Cathy’s from a previous marriage that Don adopted.
