People have an intrinsic desire for community. We believe people can find a sense of belonging before they believe. We call this to “Belong“.
People have an intrinsic desire for meaning. This meaning is found in a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ. We realize that individuals cannot find true biblical community until they cross the line of faith and enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ. We call this to “Believe“.
People have an intrinsic desire for destiny, and this destiny should be wrapped up in becoming like Jesus. This can happen in a variety of ways, but we believe it happens best in smaller, relational communities. We call this to “Become“.
The word Tabernacle comes from the Hebrew word mishkan (Exodus 25:9), which means to dwell. It was called the Tent of Meeting because it was the place where God revealed Himself and dwelled among His people. The name Tabernacle represents a place where broken people can experience the presence of God with other believers as He reveals Himself in and through His Son, Jesus Christ. We desire Tabernacle to be a place of God’s holy and refreshing presence in the parched wilderness of our culture. We are determined to be a place for all people in our community, regardless of racial, denominational or economic barriers. Tabernacle Community Church is a place to belong, believe and become.
