Tabernacle exists to make new and better Christ followers who influence the culture and impact the city and the world for the glory of God.
The word Tabernacle comes from the Hebrew word mishkan (Exodus 25:9), which means to dwell. It was called the Tent of Meeting because it was the place where God revealed Himself and dwelled among His people. Throughout the Scripture God desires to dwell among His people. Today, by His Spirit, God dwells in us. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, at the end of the age God will dwell with his people on the earth.
Tabernacle is a community of witnesses sent into the world to testify to and participate in Christ's work in the world.
Your intrinsic desire for community will be welcomed warmly because you are valued and loved by God and us. Here you will find a community to belong.
Your intrinsic desire for meaning can be found in a life-giving relationsip with Jesus Christ. Here you will find the cause to believe.
Your intrinsic desire for destiny is wrapped up in God's vision for your life to be more and more like Jesus. Here you will find the commitment to become.
