people over possessions

love over luxury
II. Jesus calls us to invest in lasting, eternal treasures through kingdom-centered actions and
relationships. Matthew 6:20
III. Jesus reveals that our heart aligns with what we treasure. Matthew 6:21
Take Action!
Colossians 3:1-2, 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Luke 12:33-34
1. What earthly possessions or goals do you hold onto for security, and how can you begin to
release your dependence on them? Consider specific ways you can place your trust in God
rather in material security.
2. What actions, relationships or commitments can you make to invest in eternal treasures? How
can you reorient your time and resources to reflect kingdom values? Identify one or two specific
ways you can prioritize generosity, relationships and service.
3. Where is your heart currently focused, and how does it reflect what you truly value? How can
you align your heart more closely with God’s purposes? Consider any adjustments in your
priorities that would help align your heart with God’s kingdom.
4. In what areas of your life are you tempted to prioritize possessions, status or luxury over people,
service and love? What specific steps can you take to realign your actions with the values of
heaven – valuing people over possessions, service over status and love over luxury?
